Note for macOS users: During installation, you may encounter a popup stating, ââ¦pkg canât be opened because Apple cannot verify it for malicious software.â To bypass this message, right-click or control-click on the *.pkg file and select âOpenâ from the context menu. Youâll be presented with a similar message, but this time, youâll have the option to ignore the warning by clicking the âOpenâ button. If the message persists, proceed to System Settings > Privacy and Security > Security. Here, youâll find an âOpen anywayâ option for the pkg installer displayed. APPLYING VINTAGE PLATE FONTS IN DORICO⢠PRO When running Dorico, it finds new metadata files and adds the fonts to its list of available SMuFL fonts. To use the Vintage Plate fonts, follow these steps: Open a Dorico score, Click on the Library > Music Fonts menu option, In the dialog window that appears, click on the name of the font in the list, then click the button âChange Music Fontâ and select Vintage Plate, Vintage Plate STD or Vintage Plate Light to apply the font to your open score project Again, Library > Font Styles… > Font Style to âDefault Music Text Fontâ choose: Vintage Plate / Vintage Plate STD / Vintage Plate Light You’d need also to change the character style: Library > Character Styles… > set Font to Bravura Text You can optionally check or uncheck the box to use the recommended engraving options; click âOKâ, and you’ll notice that your score project is taking effect of the changes with the newly selected Vintage Plate / Vintage Plate STD / Vintage Plate Light font.  Go to Library > Paragraph Styles > Default Text font to Old Music Standard font. Another enhanced version is here. You can also use two extra treble clefs (letter A and C) that are slightly tilted to the right. We also added a regular note-head (letter B) you can access it through NoteHeads Set.      Changing the Music Font in Finale v27 Go to Document > Set Default Music Font… select Vintage Plate, Vintage Plate STD or Vintage Plate Light font and click OK. IMPORTANT NOTE: Stems connections can be misaligned after converting the default music font to a SMuFL-based font, for more info on how to fix this issue click here.
